Accreditations & Corporate Social Responsibility
Community & Environment
At HTS Spares we are truly passionate about sustainability and protecting the environment.
We have elevated the topic of sustainability within our organisation and identified that it’s not just about carbon footprint and net zero emissions, but rather a wider collaborative environmental, social, and economic strategy between our customers, ourselves, and our supply chain to build a better future.
Our Pledge
Our pledge is to be the sustainable supplier of choice and we aim to achieve this by ensuring our business and operations are as economically, environmentally, and socially sustainable as possible, creating high-quality local jobs, reducing waste and energy use, protecting natural resources, supporting our communities, and strengthening local supply chains.
Our efforts to work toward being the sustainable
supplier of choice are based on three pillars:
HTS is very proud to have been awarded the ISO 14001:2015 accreditation.
ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that HTS Spares uses to enhance environmental performance. Our ISO 14001:2015 accreditation means we take full responsibility to manage our environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to our three environmental pillars of sustainability.
Ethical procurement with a focused drive for sustainable sourcing & innovative product solutions.
We are actively working to reduce risk in our supply chains, with a focus on supporting local manufacturing.
With a focus on moving supply away from Asia, where possible, and resourcing product in the UK and Europe, we hope to massively reduce our carbon footprint as well as support local industry.
We are constantly looking at ways to improve both our product and packaging by exploring more sustainable, low impact and plastic-free product innovations. Read about how we work with our packaging supplier, Springpack, to reduce material waste by avoiding excess layers and unnecessary components.
Drive social value through engaging with our own people and local communities.
We are proud to partner with local and regional social enterprises and we welcome opportunities to support charitable projects.
We recently supplied Jewson and Barnardo’s with a number of our products, free of charge, to create a new play and learning area for children at a Gloucestershire school and we continue to support our other worthy causes through our ‘charity of the year’ campaigns.
Charitable Giving
At HTS Spares we have proudly supported a number of local and national charities, making substantial donations and offering our time and services to community projects. The worthy charities we select cover a wide spectrum of causes. We spend a lot of time researching their work and many of them relate to circumstances that have touched the lives of our staff and friends.
2023
This year we are pleased to be supporting Plant & Hire Aid Alliance Ukraine. The Plant and Hire Aid Alliance consists of like-minded companies in the plant and plant hire industry who are acting together to support the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
We plan to host a charity event within the company to raise funds for Ukraine as well as set up a designated donation area for staff to drop off their no longer wanted items. If you would like to find out more, then visit www.aid-alliance.com.
